1) In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the 1 tsp salt. Add the French beans and blanch for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from the water and immediately place in an ice water bath.
2) In a medium bowl, mix the sea salt, paprika, cayenne, chilli powder, garlic powder, cumin and black pepper together thoroughly. Toss the French beans in the spice mixture.
3) Put the oil in a large saute pan and heat to almost smoking. Add the French beans and cook until the spices begin to blacken, approximately 2 minutes. When done, add the butter, toss, place on a plate and garnish with Parmesan.
