Place the gingernut biscuits into a resealable plastic bag and gently bash with a rolling pin so that a few small chunks remain among the crushed biscuits. Open the bag and tip the contents into a mixing bowl. Repeat the process with the digestive biscuits. Then add the cocoa to the bowl, pour in the condensed milk and stir really well until everything is coated evenly.
Step 2
Place the coconut into a shallow bowl. Now with your hands, roll the biscuit mixture into balls, about golf ball size, then drop them one at a time into the coconut, coating them all over before placing them onto a tray. Dip your hands in warm water if they get a bit too sticky during this process; this will also help the coconut stick.
Step 3
Put the snowballs into the fridge to firm up.

Serve alongside each table setting or place a few in a box or bag tied with Christmas ribbon to give as a gift.
