Marcus Wareing's Roast Carrots with Honey and Star Anise
For a seasonal side-dish, serve up these tender carrots drizzled in oil and flavoured with festive spices, taken from the show Marcus Wareing at Christmas.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C/200°C fan/gas 7.
Step 2
Drizzle the oil in a roasting tray and place over a medium heat on the stove. Add the carrots, along with the star anise, cinnamon sticks, garlic, thyme sprigs, butter and honey. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Cook for a few minutes until starting to caramelize then transfer to the oven and cook for around 20 minutes, until the carrots are golden, glazed and soft. Serve.
