A spread of lightly goldened rye crisps, best served on a board along with cheeses, cold meats, and fruit. Taken from the show Marcus Wareing at Christmas.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas 6.
Step 2
Cut the rye bread into thin slices. Remove the crusts and using a rolling pin roll out thinly. Cut in half to make triangles. Place them in a single layer on 2 baking trays. Drizzle with the olive oil and rub each slice with a halved garlic clove.
Step 3
Sprinkle each with the thyme leaves and bake the rye slices in the oven for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden and crisp.
