From the fuzzy festive spices to the splash of sweet juice, this warming gin punch makes the perfect Christmas cocktail. Taken from the show Marcus Wareing at Christmas.

Step 1
Add the apple juice, pomegranate juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise and ½ grated nutmeg to a large saucepan. Stir in the sugar if using, bring to the boil and then reduce the heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat.
Step 2
Stir in the pine leaves, rosemary and some lemon and orange peelings. Next pour in the gin and then the brandy, then strain into glass mugs.
Step 3
Garnish each glass with orange zest and a sprig of pine to serve.
