Infused with star anise, nutmeg, and cinnamon, this Winter Spiced Negroni is a sure way to get in the festive spirit. Taken from the show Marcus Wareing at Christmas.

Method
Step 1
Put the spices into a dry (un-oiled) saucepan followed by the gin and bring to a gentle simmer for 1-2 minutes. Leave to cool down.
Step 2
Pour the liquid into a large glass bottle and seal to infuse.
Step 3
Once infused, make the negroni. Place a large ice cube in a glass tumbler and pour in 60ml of the infused gin through a strainer.
Step 4
Pour the vermouth and campari over the ice and mix well. Take one slice of orange and squeeze to release the juice into the glass.
Step 5
Garnish with the remaining orange segment, a sprig of pine and serve immediately.
